Scaffold

bridges without looking

Also called:ScaffoldWalk

What it does

Scaffold drops a block under the player's feet the moment they step past an edge: the bridge grows with no sneaking, no misses and at any speed — straight, diagonal, mid-jump. Better versions also hide the head turn, so from the outside the player seems to look ahead while the blocks appear on their own.

It pays off most in BedWars and SkyWars, where whoever reaches the bed or the middle island first sets the pace of the match. Fast legit bridging is a skill people practise for a long time; Scaffold makes it worthless at the press of a key. On survival and anarchy servers it carries players across ravines, lava and oceans.

How to spot it

  • The bridge grows evenly, block after block, without a single miss — even on turns and diagonals
  • The head flicks down to the block's edge for an instant and snaps back — or never looks down at all
  • Sword, then blocks, then sword: the hotbar slot switches by itself right before each placement
  • The pace stays the same while jumping, sprinting or changing direction

How it gets caught

A placement packet says which block face the client clicked and where on it. The anticheat casts a ray from the player's eyes along their rotation and checks whether it hits that face, whether the face is even visible from that position, and how the head moved in the ticks before the placement. With Scaffold something gives: a block lands on a face the player wasn't looking at, the rotation jerks for one tick, the pace ignores movement.

One mismatch proves nothing — ping, a fast mouse and block desync produce similar outliers. What counts is a series: dozens of placements in a row with the same impossible detail.
