What it does
GhostHand reaches through walls: it opens chests behind blocks, presses buttons and levers, breaks beds behind their defence and hits through obstacles. No need to dig through — standing nearby is enough.
In BedWars it shows up as a broken bed with its wool and end stone defence intact. On anarchy and on survival without land claims it's chests emptied through a wall; in minigames — someone else's buttons, levers and doors triggered from cover. It hurts more than the robbed players: why build defences that don't defend?
How to spot it
- A chest opens with a solid block between it and the player
- The bed is broken while the defence around it is intact, without a hole
- Doors, buttons and levers get used from behind a wall, without line of sight
- An opponent takes a hit from around a corner or through a block
How it gets caught
The server knows where the player's eyes are, where they're looking and which block or entity they're touching. The check traces a ray from the eyes to the target and looks for a solid block in the way. Block shapes matter: you can reach past a slab, a stair or a fence, but not through a full block — transparent or not.
Mistakes are easy: a block may have been broken or placed a split second ago while the player's client still shows the old world. So one touch through a wall is a reason to look closer; evidence builds when the player keeps reaching where the ray can't go.
