What it does
In crystal PvP an end crystal goes down on obsidian or bedrock next to the opponent and gets hit right away: it explodes and deals massive damage. CrystalAura does all of it — picks the block where damage to the enemy is highest and to the cheater lowest, places the crystal, detonates it and repeats the cycle faster than any human can.
On anarchy servers and crystal PvP arenas that decides everything: fights end in seconds, the honest player loses a full set of armor and, with it, any wish to play on your server. Its natural partner is AutoTotem.
How to spot it
- Crystals appear and explode almost instantly — you barely see them
- Crystals go down behind the cheater or around corners they aren't looking at
- Explosions keep a steady machine rhythm while the cheater runs or eats a golden apple
- Time after time the chosen block is the one that hurts the opponent most
How it gets caught
Every cycle leaves traces: where the player was looking when placing the crystal, how many ticks passed between the crystal appearing and being hit, and whether the client could even have known about it yet. Hitting a crystal the client hasn't received yet, or placing one behind your back without turning, is never legit.
Experienced players are fast too, and lag bundles packets together, so one quick combo is no reason to ban. Series of cycles with inhuman speed and geometry are what decide it. Not every anticheat has a dedicated crystal check — see the table below.
