What it does
A normal aura picks one target; Multi-aura takes everyone in reach, hitting several opponents within a single tick. Against a crowd that decides everything: team fights in BedWars and SkyWars, spawn brawls on anarchy, a mob farm the cheater clears without aiming at anything.
On 1.9+ every hit resets the attack meter, so the extra hits in a tick are weaker — but they still damage every target at once. On servers that switch off the attack cooldown with a plugin, one player with Multi-aura can take apart a whole team.
How to spot it
- Several players flash red at the very same moment, on different sides of the cheater
- Damages a group with an axe, mid-jump or while sprinting — a vanilla sword sweep can't do that
- Opponents behind and beside the cheater take damage while they look at only one
- Mobs at a farm die in a ring around a player who isn't aiming at anything
How it gets caught
The server calculates a sword sweep itself from one attack, while Multi-aura sends a separate attack packet per target. A vanilla client has only one entity under its crosshair per tick, so hits on different targets within one tick are never legit. Count them by the client's ticks, not by arrival time: under lag, packets from several ticks land together, and a naive check would take that batch for Multi-aura.
Geometry adds more: each target must sit on the look ray, and an aura keeps hitting players outside its field of view. One case may be the network; repeats across fights are evidence.
