Jesus

walks on water

Also called:WaterWalk

What it does

Water stops being an obstacle: the player doesn't sink or swim but runs across the surface at sprint speed, as if it were a floor. Some modes keep them just below the surface or bounce them in tiny hops to look less obvious, and the same module often works on lava too.

It pays off on big maps: crossing an ocean on anarchy without a boat, losing a chase at a river, running over lava in the Nether. In PvP near water it's a plain advantage — the opponent swims slowly while the cheater runs and swings.

How to spot it

  • Runs upright across water with no swimming animation or splashes
  • Sprint-jumps over water or lava as if it were land
  • No lily pads, Frost Walker ice or waterlogged slabs and stairs under their feet
  • Bobs in small hops level with the surface instead of sinking in

How it gets caught

Liquids run on their own physics: in water and lava a player is heavily slowed, floats up gently and can't be “on ground” without a block beneath. The anticheat checks whether the hitbox touches liquid and whether anything supports it, then compares speed with swimming, not running. Sprinting along the surface or holding a flat height over water doesn't fit.

False suspicion comes from Depth Strider and Dolphin's Grace (fast swimming), Frost Walker, lily pads, waterlogged slabs just under the surface, bubble columns and riptide. One odd moment on water isn't evidence; a series where the player keeps standing on water for no reason is.
