Speed

faster than the game allows

Also called:BHop

What it does

Speed pushes a player past the game's own limits: low rapid hops (bhop), smooth running along the ground with no slowdown, or sharp turns in mid-air that cost no momentum. It looks like sprint-jumping, only faster and slipperier — the cheater pulls away from anyone running legitimately.

It pays off almost everywhere: chasing or escaping in PvP, reaching mid first in BedWars and SkyWars, winning race events, crossing an anarchy map. Every such player tilts the balance: honest players lose to a module, not to skill.

How to spot it

  • Outruns sprinting players with no Speed effect and no ice underfoot
  • Hops low and often, barely leaving the ground, yet never loses speed
  • Turns 90° or more in mid-air without slowing down
  • Keeps getting yanked back a couple of blocks — an anticheat with setbacks trimming the extra distance

How it gets caught

Movement speed in Minecraft isn't random: every tick the game applies the friction of the block underfoot, the player's input and any effects. An anticheat replays that math and compares it with where the player actually went. Ice, slime, soul sand, Speed II and sprint-jumping are all part of the prediction; whatever is left over is Speed.

A single mismatch proves nothing: knockback, explosions, wind charges, riptide and plugin launch pads all give legitimate bursts, and lag can squash several ticks into one packet. The excess has to repeat from episode to episode. An even speed-up with no visible cause can also point to Timer.
