OmniSprint

sprints in any direction

What it does

In Minecraft you can only sprint forward — straight ahead or diagonally forward. OmniSprint lifts that rule: the player runs backward or sideways at full speed while still facing their opponent.

The main payoff is in PvP: backing off while still hitting and aiming, circling an enemy with a bow, opening distance after a hit without turning away. A sprint hit also knocks back harder, so the cheater deals extra knockback where an honest player would be walking. The speed gap is small, but it's there in every trade.

How to spot it

  • Backpedals from an opponent at sprint speed without turning around
  • Sprint particles kick up from their feet while they move sideways or backward
  • Lands hits with sprint knockback while stepping back

How it gets caught

Sprint direction is simple to check: the anticheat takes the player's head rotation and movement vector. Sprint speed at an angle where honest sprinting cuts out — sideways or backward — is impossible. The client's own flags help too: it tells the server when it starts and stops sprinting.

Mistakes are easy around turns: on a sharp mouse flick, momentum carries the player the old way for a few more ticks, ice stretches the slide, and knockback shoves them backward. A single frame means nothing; evidence appears when backward sprinting repeats from fight to fight.
