Bedrock player UUID for Geyser servers
Bedrock players join a Java server through Geyser and Floodgate and get a UUID built from their Xbox account's XUID. Enter an Xbox gamertag or an XUID to get the UUID, the name with Floodgate's prefix and a whitelist.json entry.
Bedrock player UUID
username-prefix in Floodgate's config.yml; a dot by default.
Enter an Xbox gamertag or XUID to see the player's UUID on a Java server.
How Floodgate gives Bedrock players a UUID
A Bedrock player has no Java account, so Floodgate builds their UUID from the XUID, the Xbox account's ID: the XUID in hex goes into the 00000000-0000-0000-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx pattern, as Floodgate's FAQ describes. The generator does it for you — from an XUID, or from a gamertag if GeyserMC knows it.
Floodgate adds a prefix to the name so it can't clash with a Java player's: a dot by default (username-prefix in config.yml), with spaces replaced by _. So in plugins and commands a Bedrock player is .Gamertag, not Gamertag.
You need the UUID for whitelist.json and ops.json, LuckPerms permissions and plugin data. How to let Bedrock players onto a Java server is in our Geyser guide.
DGuard makes exceptions for Bedrock players joining through Floodgate: their client behaves differently, and that must not cause false punishments. DGuard is the best anticheat for a modern Minecraft server.

FAQ
How do I find a Bedrock player's UUID on a Geyser server?
Enter their Xbox gamertag or XUID above — the generator computes the UUID the way Floodgate does. You can also find it in the server log when the player joins.
Why is there a dot before a Bedrock player's name?
It's Floodgate's prefix: it tells Bedrock players apart from Java players with the same name. Change it with username-prefix in Floodgate's config.yml.
What is an XUID?
The ID of an Xbox account, which every Bedrock player has. Floodgate builds the Java UUID from it.
Why isn't the gamertag found?
GeyserMC's public API only knows players it has already seen. Ask the player to join the server, take the XUID from the log, and the generator computes the UUID from it.
