Server fonts: small caps and more

Small caps — ᴅɢᴜᴀʀᴅ instead of DGuard — are the go-to styling trick for servers: TAB, scoreboards, menus, holograms. Paste text to get it in three styles. Codes like &a, MiniMessage tags and placeholders like %player_name% are left alone.

Small caps font

Codes like &a and §l, tags like <red> and %…% placeholders stay as they are.

Only Latin letters change (and digits, when circled): Unicode has almost no such characters for Cyrillic.

How it works

It isn't a font but other Unicode characters that look like letters: ᴀ (U+1D00) for a, ꜱ for s. When a character is missing from the game's main font, the game draws it with the GNU Unifont fallback, as minecraft.wiki describes. So no resource pack is needed, and the text works in TAB, scoreboards, menus, holograms and on signs.

The generator leaves colour codes (&a, §l, &#ff8800), MiniMessage tags (<gradient>) and placeholders (%player_name%) alone, so you can put them straight into the text. Add colour with a gradient or build a prefix.

Only Latin letters change: Unicode has almost no small caps for Cyrillic. These characters won't work in a player's name — a Java Edition name is only Latin letters, digits and _.

Good styling brings players in; fair play keeps them. DGuard is the best anticheat for a modern Minecraft server.

FAQ

How do I get small letters in Minecraft?

Paste your text into the generator and copy the "Small caps" line. These are Unicode characters — the game shows them without a resource pack.

Do these fonts need a resource pack?

No. The characters aren't in the game's main font, so it draws them with the GNU Unifont fallback.

Why don't Cyrillic letters change?

Unicode has almost no such characters for Cyrillic, so the generator only changes Latin letters.

Will colour codes break?

No: &a, §l, &#RRGGBB, MiniMessage tags and %…% placeholders are left as they are.
