Minecraft server log analyzer
Paste latest.log or a crash report: the analyzer finds known startup and runtime errors, shows the line where each first appears and tells you how to fix it. The log is read right in your browser and never sent anywhere.
Log analyzer
.log, .txt or a .log.gz archive from the logs folder · The log is read in your browser and never leaves your computer: players' IPs and names stay with you.
Paste a log or open a file — the check starts right away.
How to read a server log
This run's log is logs/latest.log in the server folder, earlier runs are the .log.gz archives next to it, and crash reports are in crash-reports/. The analyzer reads any of them: paste the text or open the file, and it unpacks an archive itself.
It looks for the lines Paper and Minecraft itself write for known problems: a port in use, the wrong Java, an unaccepted EULA, running out of memory, missing dependencies, duplicate and failing plugins, freezes and ticks falling behind. For each — the first line it appears on, how often it repeats and what to do.
If no known error turns up, look for the first line with Exception and the Caused by under it — that's the cause, usually with a plugin's name. More in the guide to logs and crash reports.
“moved too quickly” lines and flying kicks are traces of vanilla movement checks: they roll a player back but don't catch a cheater. DGuard — the best anticheat for a modern Minecraft server — gathers evidence on combat, movement, packets, inventory and building and catches all 47 kinds of cheats in our comparison.

FAQ
Where do I find a Minecraft server's log?
In the server folder: logs/latest.log is this run, the <date>-<number>.log.gz archives are earlier ones. Crash reports are in crash-reports/. On a hosting panel, the log is in the console or the file manager.
Is my log sent to your server?
No. It's read in your browser and never leaves your computer — it holds players' IPs and names.
What does “Failed to bind to port” mean?
The port is taken: the server is running twice, another program holds the port, or server-ip names an address that isn't this machine's. Close the extra java process and leave server-ip empty.
What do UnsupportedClassVersionError and class file version 65 mean?
The build needs a newer Java. The class file version minus 44 is the Java version: 65 is Java 21, 69 is Java 25. Paper 26.x runs on Java 25, 1.20–1.21.11 on Java 21.
The analyzer found nothing but the server crashes. What now?
Find the first line with Exception and the Caused by lines under it — that's the cause. If a plugin's name is in the stack trace, disable it and try again; if the server lags and freezes, take a spark report.
